New Horizon primarily supports children, youth, and young adults between the ages of 5 and 18. We also work alongside parents, caregivers, and families to provide individualized support that reflects each family's unique needs and goals. Requests outside this age range may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

New Horizon's rates generally range from $25–$30 per hour. Rates may vary based on the type of service being provided and the level of individualized support required.
Every child, youth, and family is unique. A free meet and greet is available to discuss your family's goals, learn more about the supports you are looking for, and determine whether New Horizon would be a good fit.
A minimum booking of 3 hours applies to all services.

Transportation may be available with parent or guardian consent. Additional mileage charges may apply for travel outside the Edmonton area.

New Horizon primarily serves Edmonton and the Greater Edmonton Area, including communities such as St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Leduc, Beaumont, and Fort Saskatchewan.
We understand that every family's circumstances are unique. Services outside of the Greater Edmonton Area may be available on a case by case basis, with additional travel fees applying where appropriate.

Yes. New Horizon supports children, youth, young adults, and families with a wide range of strengths, experiences, diagnoses, and support needs.
Our team has experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, anxiety, OCD, trauma related challenges, learning disabilities, and a variety of developmental, behavioural, emotional, and mental health support needs. We recognize that every individual is unique, and we focus on understanding the person beyond any diagnosis.
New Horizon is committed to providing neurodiversity affirming, trauma informed, person centred support that recognizes each individual's strengths, goals, and lived experiences.
We take pride in maintaining a highly trained team and believe that learning is a lifelong process. As New Horizon grows, staff are encouraged to participate in ongoing professional development, training, and continuing education to ensure families receive high quality, informed, and compassionate support.

No. New Horizon does not provide therapy, counselling, psychological assessments, diagnoses, behaviour consultation, or other regulated mental health services.
Our services focus on respite, mentorship, skill development, community participation, and family support. We work alongside children, youth, young adults, and families to build confidence, independence, practical life skills, and meaningful connections within their homes and communities.
While New Horizon staff may support individuals who have mental health, developmental, behavioural, or neurodivergent support needs, our role is not to provide treatment or clinical services. Families seeking therapy, counselling, assessments, or diagnostic services may be encouraged to connect with a qualified and regulated healthcare professional.

Once your inquiry has been received, New Horizon will reach out to discuss your family's needs, answer any questions you may have, and arrange a free meet and greet consultation.
The meet-and-greet provides an opportunity for everyone to get to know one another, learn more about the services available, and determine whether New Horizon would be a good fit for your child, youth, or family.
There is no obligation to proceed with services following the meet and greet.

Yes. New Horizon maintains appropriate business and liability insurance coverage.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a scheduled service are free of charge. Please see the Client Handbook for full cancellation and no-show policies.
